With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Leonard Bushur of Effingham, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 5, 2026 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bushur and Rosa Bushur (Verdeyen); his wife Rosemary "Rosie" Katherine Lohman; his siblings, Louise Niebrugge (Martin), Hilma Goeckner (Virgil), Don Bushur and Harold Bushur; Katie Arnold (Larry).
He is survived by: his children, Tim Bushur (Kelly) of Chesterfield, Jackie Schmidt (Larry) of Bloomington, Sandy Deters (Keith) of Sigel, Dennis Bushur (Stephanie) of Westfield, Amy Baker (Tom) of Noble, Susie Sullivan of Erie, Kevin Bushur (Sheri) of Effingham and Rick Bushur (Karen) of Hoffman Estates; and his siblings-in-law, Anna Mae Bushur, Bertha Bushur and John H. Lohman (Gerry). He is also survived by 26 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to St. Anthony Schools.
