She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Thies and Myrtle Thies (Stephens); her husband Jerry Brooks; her daughter Victoria; and her siblings, Jack Thies and Jeanne Huelsbusch.
She is survived by: her daughters, Julia Spahn (Richard) of DeKalb and Michelle Gough (James) of Mahomet; her grandchildren, Claire Spahn, Natalie Spahn, Richie Spahn and Owen Gough; her stepgrandchildren, Connor and Hannah Gough; and her close friend Paul Hawkins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Ronald McDonald House.
