He was predeceased by: his parents, Mathias Mayhaus and Helen Stuckey Mayhaus (Stuckey); and his brother Patrick Mayhaus. He is survived by: his children, Michael Mayhaus, Jr. (Kristen Kirkpatrick) of Effingham, Coartney Patterson (Damon) of Newton and Shannae Weaver (Jesse Schniederjan) of Altamont; and his grandchildren, Jeffery, Oliver, Lennox, Bruce, Samantha, Lena and Cecilia.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Bauer Funeral Home (1212 W Evergreen Ave, Effingham, IL 62401). A burial will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
