He is survived by: his wife Judy Poe (Heynen); his daughter Michele Poe (Matthew Harris); the mother of his child Sue Poe of Altamont; his stepchildren, Lori Klein, Rob DeLong and Kevin DeLong (Gitta Herzog); his grandchildren, Alexis Blackwell (Jeremy), Jason DeLong (Lessica Reyes), Tony DeLong and Sarah Bredow DeLong (Constance Bredow); his great grandchildren, Chloe, James, Krystine and Eloise; his siblings, Bob Poe (Janet), Terry Poe (Susan) and Violet Poe; and his pets, Blackie and Tiggy.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Home (1110 N 4th St, Effingham, IL 62401). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to Community Support Systems.
