We bid farewell to Norma Jean Jones of Effingham, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 9, 2025 at the age of 73. Norma touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Stodden and Ruth Stodden (Greuel); her siblings, Lois Debolt (Dean) and Albert Stodden; and her sister-in-law Connie Stodden (Stevens).
She is survived by: her spouse Dale Jones; her children, Pam Henderson (Joe) of Camargo, Cheryl Apke (Todd) of Effingham, Jill Knierim (Clint) of Effingham and Adam Jones of Fairview Heights; her grandchildren, Bryce Batchelor, Evan Knierim, Ella Knierim, Rowan Knierim and Teaghan Henderson; and her siblings, LaVerne Stodden (Jane) of Aurora, Charles Stodden of Trilla, Leo Stodden (Rosario) of Chicago, Melvin Stodden (Sara) of Sigel, Wayne Stodden (Pat) of Sigel, Mark Stodden (Dana) of Sigel, Joyce Stuckey of Mattoon, Janice Townsend (Walt) of Geff, Doris Wiedman (John) of Effingham, Lorraine Mozley (Steve) of Springfield and Renee Harris (Joe) of Denton, Texas. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Home (1110 N 4th St, Effingham, IL 62401). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the family.
