He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Hilligoss and Mary Hilligoss (Cook); his brothers, Jim Hilligoss and Kenneth Hilligoss; his brothers-in-law, Dave Bennett and Denny Varner; his mother-in-law Vivian Warner; and his niece Nicole Hilligoss.
He is survived by: his siblings, Judy Bennett of Effingham and Ben Hilligoss (Marsha) of Glenarm; his sisters-in-law, Kathie Hilligoss of Mattoon and Mary Barb Hilligoss of Humboldt; his father-in-law Jack Warner of Mason; and his siblings-in-law, Roger Warner (Brenda), Raymond Warner (Cindy) of Effingham and Ramona Taylor (Michael) of Bowling Green, KY. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
