It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Paul McGowan of Effingham, Illinois, born in Long Beach, California, who passed away on November 18, 2022, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles W. McGowan and Eileen McGowan; his brother Charles McGowan III; and his nephew Brian Nord. He is survived by : his wife Mary Lynn McGowan of Effingham; his brother Richard McGowan (Jeanne) of Anaheim, CA; his brothers-in-law, William Nord (Sally) of Palm Coast, FL and Kenneth Nord of Warren, MI; his nephews, Michael McGowan of Costa Mesa, CA and Jason Nord (Jaime) of Plymouth, MI; and his niece Karissa DeLeon of Hawaii.

Memorials may be made in Bob's memory to the First Presbyterian Church in Effingham or the American Cancer Society.
