It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Susan J. Thomason of Effingham, Illinois, born in Vincennes, Indiana, who passed away on March 17, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Oliver Gustin and Lula Gustin (Foreman); and her son David. She is survived by: her husband Larry Thomason of Effingham; her children, Stephen of Mattoon and Jaimie (Christine) of Effingham; her brother-in-law Ken Thomason (Velma) of St. Elmo; her close friends, Gail Jones of Ohio, Brandon Marsh of Vandalia, Eric Poorman of Mattoon, Gary Carr of Mattoon and Teresa Cass of Brownstown; and her pets, Scruffles, Henry, Stanley, Ollie, Luna and Lacey. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
