We bid farewell to Terry Allen Chapman of Effingham, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 23, 2025 at the age of 65. Terry Allen touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Vern Chapman and Dorothy Chapman; and his sisters, Faith Newyear and Beverly Vallette. He is survived by: his wife Patti Chapman; his children, Ashley Darden (Ted), Ryan Chapman (Dawn), Vince Chapman (Hannah), Terra Wouters, Joshua Chapman and Caleb Chapman; his grandchildren, Drew, Jedediah, Titus, Malachi, Dallas, Josiah, Elijah, Phoenix, Shiloh, Everest, Ember, Silas, Raiden, Haylee and Jaydah; his siblings, Carol Mockapetris (Pete), Jaqueline Churchwell (Nathaniel) and Jeffrey Chapman (Helen); and his brother-in-law Rodney Weedon (Lisa). He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Crossroots Church (3200 S Banker St, Effingham, IL 62401). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to Called College Scholarship in honor of Terry Chapman.
