With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wanda Kay Berner of Effingham, Illinois, who passed away on April 19, 2026 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Wanda may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Wanda touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbur LeRoy Burner and Norma Jean Berner (Lambert); and her siblings, Richard Berner, Robert Berner, Beverly Sidener and Susan Richardson.
She is survived by: her brother James Berner; and her sister-in-law Helen Stanley. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
