It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James P. Saeger of El Paso, Illinois, who passed away on May 12, 2026, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul William and Frances Bernice Saeger (Savage). He is survived by: his sons, Donald James Saeger (Christina) of Pickerington, OH and Michael James Saeger of Waterloo, IA.; his grandchildren, Ally Spangler (Ryan), Luke Saeger (Lynnsay), Dalton Saeger and Savannah Saeger; his great grandchildren, Memphis, Denver Spangler and Lynndon Saeger; his sister Janet Saeger; and his siblings-in-law, Sherry Avila (Frank) and Gary Hooste.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 19th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home - El Paso (40 W Main St, El Paso, IL 61738). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home (40 W Main St, El Paso, IL 61738). A burial will be held on Tuesday, May 19th 2026 at 12:45 PM at the Swan Lake Memory Gardens (4601 W. Route 150 Peoria, IL 61615).
