He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Eugene and Betty Simmons Lindell. He is survived by: his brother Robert Lindell; his nephew Miles Lindell; his sister Susan Larson (Lindell); Wade Larson, Samuel, Jacob Larson, Holly Larson (Rusk), Ezra and Dorothy.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in Karl's name to the American Diabetes Association.
