He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Rutter and Goldie Rutter (Bradley); his daughter Tiffany Rutter; and his daughter-in-law Kristy Rutter. He is survived by: his wife Regina Rutter; his children, Michael Rutter, Holland, Jorah and Kim McCarthy (David); his grandchildren, Callahan and Mason; and his siblings, Darrell Rutter, John Rutter and Marilyn Rutter. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and a family of friends.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Paul's name.
