Violet A Slagle Obituary

We announce the death of Violet A Slagle (Elburn, Illinois), who passed away on October 28, 2026, at the age of 96. Violet will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Mitchell and Violet Mitchell; her husband Christian Slagle; and her siblings, Lenore and Jerry.

She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Swift (Bob), Christian Slagle (Lynnette) and Allison Lally (Terry); and her grandchildren, Taylor of Katy, T. J., Matthew Lally, Eliana, Christian and Trenton Slagle. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Violet in a way we believe would be most meaningful: Do something kind for someone who needs it.
