With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of William Davis of Eldorado, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 6, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Davis and Irene Davis; his wife Ladine Davis; his daughter Mary Beth Holyfield; and his sister-in-law La Deana Davis.
He is survived by: his brothers, Jimmy Davis (Carolyn) of Pinckneyville, Ill and Robert Davis of Wayne City, Ill; his son-in-law Daren Holyfield of Pinckneyville, Ill; his children, Debbie Linder (Richard) of Eldorado, Ill, Karla Mossman (Chris) of Equality, Ill and Robert Hungate of Elizabethtown, Ill; and his grandchildren, Willie Holyfield of Pinckneyville, Ill, Harley Holyfield of Pinckneyville, Ill, Daren Holyfield of Bonneterre, Billy Holyfield of Corning, AR, Rebecca Albers (Scott) of Columbia, Ill, Jennifer Sapp of Eldorado, Ill, Wesley Creamer of Eldorado, Ill, Jamie Ellis (Andy) of McLeansboro, Ill, Jonathan Linder of Harrisburg, Ill, Jessica Hollowell (Gerald) of Evansville, IN, Emily Watters (Josh) of Eldorado, Ill and Whitney. He is also survived by his 30 great- grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the Colonial Terrace Funeral Home & Crematory (700 4th St, Eldorado, IL 62930). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
