He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Newton and Norma Smith Newton; his former wife Sharon Carreira; his son Clay Newton; and his brother Denmon Newton.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Sharrow; his sons, Jay Newton (Lisa) of Eldred and Jeff Newton of Eldred; his grandchildren, Larissa Marienthal, Dakota, Drew, Christina and Nicholas Newton; his nieces, Tammy Nicholson, Stacey Ruyle and Angie Bolden; and his daughter-in-law Rhonda Newton of Eldred. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Airsman-Hires Funeral Home - Carrollton (108 N 5th St, Carrollton, IL 62016).
