Angelita Tovar Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Angelita Tovar of Elgin, Illinois, born in San Benito, Texas, who passed away on April 9, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Florentino Ortiz and Eulalia Ortiz (Castillo); her husband Sebastian Tovar; her daughter Renee Cruz Tovar; and her brother Jose Ortiz.
She is survived by: her children, John Tovar (Susan), Ambrosio Tovar (Beatriz), Rumaldo Tovar (Philomena) and Reymundo Tovar; her siblings, Philip Schmidgal (Hilda), Margarita Ortiz and Mike Ortiz; her grandchildren, Elizabeth (Tim), Jacob, Alyssa, Alexis, Alexander, Nina, Adam, Maria and Robert; and her great grandchildren, Brenden, Nathan, Owen, Michael and Penelope. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Anderson Animal Shelter in South Elgin.
