She was predeceased by: her parents, Sidney Shor and Agnes Shor (Sobieszczyk); and her husband David W. Roome. She is survived by: her children, Mary Godbolt Roome (late Marlon), David Roome (Janice) and Jennifer Thomas (John); her grandchildren, Anthony Roome (Kylee), Megan Hinton (Hunter), Sidney Thomas and Abigail Thomas; and her great grandchildren, Meredith Roome, David Roome and Francesca Hinton.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation or the V Foundation.
