Carol Wahl Obituary
We announce the death of Carol Wahl of Elgin, Illinois, who passed away on September 11, 2026, at the age of 90. Carol will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Carol will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Carol will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Carol’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Behrens and Clara Behrens; and her husband Russell Wahl. She is survived by: her sister Diane Rabe; and her sons, Russ Wahl (Tracy), Mike Wahl (Lynn), Roger Wahl (Sharon) and John Wahl (Theresa). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (195 Nesler Rd, Elgin, IL 60124). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Elgin.
