She is survived by: her significant other Johnnie Grant Hughes; her son Jeffrey Lynn Hughes (Laura); her siblings, Ernestine Daniels (Johnson), Ella Johnson, Jacqueline Hall (Johnson), Donald Johnson (Virginia) and Dwayne Johnson (Tia); her grandchildren, Jeffrey Delance Hughes, Briana Deshaun Taylor and Janiyah Diamond Hughes; and her great grandchildren, Sadelle Christian, Kinzlee Taylor and Kynedi Jade Taylor. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, church family, dear friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Elgin Bethesda Church of God (454 Hickory Pl, Elgin, IL 60120). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Elgin Bethesda Church of God in Christ (454 Hickory Pl, Elgin, IL 60120). A burial will be held on Monday, November 2nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery (20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421).
