It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Donn S. Nelson of Elgin, Illinois, who passed away on June 6, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Donn may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He is survived by: his wife Helen J. Vander Haar; his children, Steven Nelson (Kim), Robert Nelson (Sheila) and Susan Sampson (Peter); and his sister Karen Nelson. He is also survived by his ten grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Miller Funeral Home (504 W Main St, West Dundee, IL 60118). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
