He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Wachholder and Anne Wachholder (Ott); and his brother Mark Wachholder. He is survived by: his sons, Kurt (Kristin) and Brent (Novia Pagone); his grandsons, Basil, Freeman and Fritz (Barb Van Bogaert); and his pet Dan.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 14th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Laird Funeral Home (310 S State St, Elgin, IL 60123).
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer charitable donations to Ducks Unlimited or the Nature Conservancy.
