Though Godfrey may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Lou Jackson; and his sisters, Loyetta Ramsy and Jane Trovillan. He is survived by: his son Charlie Miller (Rosy) of Elgin; and his granddaughters, Machenzie Smith and Daniela Benitez Argueta.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Laird Funeral Home (310 S State St, Elgin, IL 60123). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Bluff City Cemetery (945 Bluff City Blvd, Elgin, IL 60120).
