He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Howard and Mabel Mary James; and his brothers, Herb, Don and C. Howard Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Gordon Jr., Cheryl Lampinen (Joe), Gregory (Jennifer) and Christine; his grandchildren, Eva, Nathan and Hanna; and his sister-in-law Joyce. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
