Harley Ramsey Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Harley Ramsey of Elgin, Illinois, born in Mount Vernon, Illinois, who passed away on May 14, 2025 at the age of 90. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Harley Ramsey to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his wife Lela Ramsey (Campbell); his parents, Lawrence Ramsey and Lucy Ramsey (Childers); his siblings, Myrtle, Norman (Mamie), Floyd (Hazel), William (Audrey), Lucille Bartolomucci (Henry) and Buelah Jolliff (Irvin); and his daughter-in-law Jill Ramsey.

He is survived by: his children, Rick Ramsey, Sharon Schuman (John) and Rodney Ramsey (Brenda); his grandchildren, Christopher Schuman, Brian Schuman (Alpharis), Tabitha Maness (Jarrod) and Brianna Carey (Mike); and his siblings, Anne and Charles. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made in Harley's name to the Izaak Walton League, Elgin Chapter.
