He is survived by: his children, David (Patty) of Elgin, Dale of Elgin, Daniel Gathman (Christine) of Elgin and Patricia Gathman of Waterville, Maine; his stepchildren, Alan Rohde (Beth) of Elgin and Anne Rohde Griffin of Ripon, Wis.; his grandchildren, Mary Beth Erickson, Allison Dieckman, Jon Gathman, Adam Gathman, Ashley Williams, Matthew Gathman, Tom Gathman and Marti Sarsfield; his stepgrandchildren, Kyle Rohde, Ashley Mauch, Brian Rohde and Sara Bowers; and his sisters-in-law, Judy Gathman of South Elgin, Betty Baker of Forsyth and Janice Margison of Branson. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren.
