It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet Claire Cork (Elgin, Illinois), who passed away on July 8, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Charles B. Cork; and her significant other Charles "Charlie" MacArthur. She is survived by: her sister Judy Naples Thompson; and her children, Charles Cork (Debra), Doug Cork (Gayle), Andy Cork (Dianne), Polly Seyller (Steve), Jennifer Fischbach (Brad), Michelle Hylton (Rich) and Nicole Jankowski (Jason). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Laird Funeral Home (310 S State St, Elgin, IL 60123). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Janet's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a cause she cared deeply about.
