He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Diaz and Josefina Malagon. He is survived by: his wife Beatriz Diaz of Elgin; his children, Beatriz A. Diaz-Pollack (Joel Pollack) of Elgin and Manuel J. Diaz (Jessica) of Denver, CO; his granddaughters, Magdalena Esther, Guadalupe "Lupita" Sara Pollack of Elgin, Esme Isabel, Maria-Ines Constance and Alma Grace of Denver; his sister Maria S. Aviña (Gonzalo); and his sister-in-law Virginia Diaz (late Jose Luis) of Elgin. He is also survived by siblings-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, and friends.
