It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Paula R. Janson of Elgin, Illinois, who passed away on December 7, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Paula R. Janson to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Hansen and Anna Hansen; her husband Richard; her son James; her grandchildren, Michael Florence and Michele Saydman (Janson); and her brothers, Edward and Louis.
She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth Florence (Mark), Jo Ann Shircliff (Jay), Michael Janson (Julie) and Lisa Riedl (Warren); and her sister Diann Biltz (Hansen). She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Thomas More Catholic Church (215 Thomas More Dr, Elgin, IL 60123). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Highland Oaks of Elgin or Journey Care Hospice would be appreciated.
