He was loved and cherished by many people including: wife: Paula McDonough; children: Colleen (Hollis) Wilkins, Robert McDonough Jr., Molly (Dabnis) Granderson, Patricia (Nicholas) Saffle, and James McDonough; grandchildren: Liam, Aria, Landon, Asher, and Oliver; brothers: Patrick (Tracy) McDonough and Gary McDonough; parents: Robert and Margaret (Hlavac) McDonough; and his many friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 20th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Laird's Funeral Home (310 S State St, Elgin, IL 60123). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Laurence Catholic Church (225 Jewett St, Elgin, IL 60123).
