With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Marie Volkening of Elgin, Illinois, who passed away on June 7, 2022 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Deihs and Leone Deihs (Rausch); her husband Raymond; her son Brian; and her son-in-law Donald Kamp.

She is survived by: her children, Ken Volkening (Mona), Karen Westerman (Mike), Bruce Volkening (Vicki), Dale Volkening (Sandy), Herman Volkening (Judy), Barb Kamp (Don) and Kevin Volkening (Jeanette); and her siblings, Donna Young of St. Louis, MO and Gary Deihs of Elgin, IL..

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul's UCC or JourneyCare Hospice Care Center.
