With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Ruth Kovar (Elgin, Illinois), born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on December 23, 2019 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Sundquist and Martha Sundquist (Buda); her husband Charles "Chick" Kovar; and her siblings, Herbert and Dorothy.

She is survived by: her children, Susan Bultman (Larry) of Algonquin and Kenneth Kovar (Teresa) of Florida; her grandchildren, Eric Bultman, Keri Johnson (Logan), Eve Sophia and Alex Kovar; and her sister Nanette Caldwell of California.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in her name to St. Laurence Catholic Church.
