He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Schultz and Beverly Schroeder Schultz; and his brother Gary. He is survived by: his wife Karen Schuring Schultz; his daughters, Heather Potts and Abigail Pool (Shawn); and his sisters, Jolene and Lynn. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Tim McGraw Operation Homefront.
