It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Winifred (Hassmann) Hazucha (Elgin, Illinois), who passed away at the age of 101, on April 13, 2025. Though Winifred may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Winifred touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Walter E. Hassmann and Winifred E. Hassmann (Thompson); her siblings, Eleanor and Wally; her husband Rudolph Hazucha (Rudy); and her children, Julie, John, Andy and Karen.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, July 6th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Elgin (39W830 Highland Ave, Elgin, IL 60124).
Donations in honor of Winifred may be given to the Macular Degeneration Association, the American Macular Degeneration Foundation, the Red Cross, and the Salvation Army.
