Josephine Swanson Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Josephine Swanson (Elizabethtown, Illinois), who passed away on June 1, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Coy Fulkerson and Ruth Bernice Fulkerson (Reynolds); her husband Edward Leroy Swanson, Jr.; her son David; and her siblings, Murray Fulkerson (Joyce), Evelyn Hogg (Vernon) and Barbara Murphy (Tucker).
She is survived by: her great grandchildren, Caleb Swanson (Tens) and Josie; her grandchildren, Leah Young (Jon), Peyton, Braxton, Oakley, Lana Willard (BJ), Octavia, Wrenley, Josh Harrison (Megan), Riley, Tessa, Aubri, Aadyn, Elias, Holly Harrison, Meyer Clayton, Matthew Brown, Misty Brown, Jacob Brown, Amy Stacey, Teri Charleton (Michael), Connor, Hadley, Haisley, Derek Stacey (Jillian), Blakely, Adeline, Sophie, Ethan Murphy, Haleigh Murphy, Mason Cook and Madison (Logan); and her siblings, Aletta Barger, Bonita Davis (Dallas), Karen Hardin (Larry) and Terry Fulkerson (Kathy). She is also survived by nieces and nephews and numerous special friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the J. M. Weirauch Funeral Home (211 N Jackson St, Harrisburg, IL 62946). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (15 St Joseph Rd, Elizabethtown, IL 62931). A burial will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at the St. Joseph Cemetery.
For those who wish memorials may be made to the St. Ann Society with envelopes available at the funeral home.
