He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick and Lorraine; and his siblings, Jacqueline Zachreus (late Carl) and Frederick Gabel (Mary). He is survived by: his wife Sharon; his children, Dena Maniates (Bill) and Brian Gabel; his grandchildren, Gianna Marie Maniates, Isabella Marie Maniates, Ava Marie Maniates, Hailey Lynn Blake and Dylan Hendrix Blake; and his sibling Jean Spankroy (Dave).
A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 7:30 PM at the Grove Memorial Chapel (1199 S Arlington Heights Rd, Elk Grove Village, IL 60007). The inurnment will be held on Monday, August 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery (20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421).
