With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Curtis Messer of Elkville, Illinois, born in Makanda, Illinois, who passed away on May 26, 2020 at the age of 88. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Curtis Messer to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Harvey Messer and Maude Messer (Furlow); and his daughter Genny Sizemore. He is survived by : his wife Alice Messer of Elkville; his children, Curtis Burton Messer (Patty) of Largo, Bob Messer (Sherry) of Elkville, James Messer of Elkville and Natalie Hunt of Ft. Pierce, Florida; and his grandchildren, Madison Messer, Jeannetta Messer, Christopher Messer (Nicole), Trevor Messer (Bre) and Roxanne Hunt. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial contributions can be made to D.A.V., Chapter 71, 507 W. Main Street, Marion, Illinois 62959.
