With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Howard A. Rath of Elkville, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 11, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Rath and Alta Rath (Spencer); his grandson Tyler Rath; and his brothers, Leo Rath and Richard Rath.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Rath (Lori) of Creal Springs, Cheryl Hastings (Bryan) of Sesser, Kevin Rath of Illinois and Lisa Richey of Marion; his grandchildren, Adam Rath, Nickolas Rath, Ryan Hicks, Christin Hicks, Jordan Hicks, Paige Richey and Kole Richey; and his sister Verna Bastien of Du Quoin. He is also survived by seventeen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild.
