He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther George and Annie George (Smith). He is survived by: his wife Gail George (Wright) of Elkville; his children, Gerry Romine (Chris) of Cobden, James George of Anna and Joseph George of Royalton; and his brother Eddie George of Du Quoin. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made in Lawrence's name to Residential Hospice and will be accepted at the service.
