She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Varnum and Hattie Varnum (Barnes); her siblings, Gilbert Barnes and Bernice Riley; and her son-in-law David Swierenga.

She is survived by: her children, Michael Aldridge (Nancy), Kathy Swierenga of Du Quoin and Dennis Aldridge of Elkville; her grandchildren, Keith Aldridge (Shelly), Kelly Wisely (Jesse), Blake Aldridge (Amy), Chasity Brown of Christopher, Aaron Aldridge (Sherry) and Roseanna Wimer (Mark); and her brother Frank Varnum of Ft. Myers, FL. She is also survived by many great grandchildren.

Friends may make memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and will be accepted at the funeral home.
