He is survived by: his sons, Merle Sanford Macke of Elkville and Sidney Boyd Macke (Sheridan) of Du Quoin; his grandchildren, Ella Hardwick, Molly Pierjok (Phil), Lila Macke, Walter Schneider, Brooke Hardwick and Alisha Hardwick; his great grandchildren, Bristal Smith, Memphis Pierjok and Andrew Pierjok; his daughter-in-law Carol Boyle Macke of Thompsonville; his siblings-in-law, Roger Stewart (Virginia) of Dowell, Thelma Leek of Elkville and Ollie Uptegraft of Rosemont, MN; and his nephew Kevin Leehy (Robin) of Du Quoin. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Searby Funeral Home (130 S Washington St, Du Quoin, IL 62832). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Friends may make memorials to the family and will be accepted at the funeral home.
