He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Ellsworth and Hilda Marie James (Reisinger); and his siblings, Ruth Ann Kohlmann and Jacob William James. He is survived by: his wife Deanna Kinkade; his children, Roger James (Rita), Janie Wilcoxon (Sam), Joanie Jones (Terry) and Kevin James (Kristina); his grandchildren, Alexis, Kaeli, Kinzi, Trenton, Jackson and Josie; his great grandchild Collins; and his sister Margaret Ellen Sundstrom (Mike).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Ingram-Meridith Funeral Home (241 W Main St, Albion, IL 62806). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Oak Hill Cemetery.
Memorials in the name of Donald Joseph James may be made to Shriner's Children's Hospital.
