It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol McHugh of Elmhurst, Illinois, born in Palatine, Illinois, who passed away on October 25, 2025, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Carol is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Carol's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She is survived by: her daughters, Courtney McHugh and Kelsey McHugh; her sister Cathy Howland; and her pets, Miley, Sebastian, Ruby and Lucy.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Carol's name to As Good As Gold – Golden Retriever Rescue of Illinois (https://www.asgoodasgold.org), an organization she deeply admired and supported.
