He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Jeanne; his children, Daniel (Marisa), James (Michelle), Paul (Carla), Timothy Mondi (Cheryl) and Renee Kohl (Brennan); his grandchildren, Peter Mondi (Rachel), Jeanna Saavedra (Lorenzo), Paul, Colin, Luke, Nicole, Brady, Michael, Jack, Brian, Ryan, Kyle Mondi and Lily Kohl; his great grandchildren, Oliver, Jamie Mondi and Isabella Saavedra; and his siblings, John (late Eileen), William Mondi (Mary Lou) and Judith McMahon (late Michael McMahon). He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 9:15 AM at the Gibbons Funeral Home (134 S York St, Elmhurst, IL 60126). A prayer was held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 9:15 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Visitation Catholic Church (779 S York St, Elmhurst, IL 60126). A burial was held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at the Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery (1400 S Wolf Rd, Hillside, IL 60162).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ronald McDonald House, 26345 Network Place, Chicago, IL 60673-1263.
