We announce the death of Christine I. Bender (Elmhurst, Illinois), who passed away on October 30, 2026, at the age of 77. She is survived by: her friend Jessica MacPhail; her husband Alexander William Bender; her son Christopher Marcel Bender; her siblings-in-law, Ken Bender, T. J. Bender (Tom), Chuck Bender, Lucinda Bender and Bonnie Bender; her niece Rachel Bender; her sister Janet Vavra; her brother-in-law Bill Vavra; her nephew Billy Vavra; her goddaughter Lindsay Vavra (James Osborne); her great-niece Emma; her great-nephews, Logan and Remington; her brother J. R. Olivero; her sister-in-law Debbie Olivero; her niece Sasha Olivero; her nephews, John Olivero (Sharisse Manning) and Patrick Olivero; Barb Flohr. She is also survived by her family, friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Pedersen Ryberg Funeral Home (435 N York St, Elmhurst, IL 60126). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Catholic Church (779 S York St, Elmhurst, IL 60126).
