She was predeceased by: her mother Rose Brogan; her siblings, Fran Schmidt (Karl), Deb Meyer, Dennis Brogan (Joyce), Carrie Brogan and Marian Geisler; her niece Kim Geisler; and her former husband Andy McEvoy.

She is survived by: her close friend Marilyn Jacobsen; her children, Kelly Kunkel (Roger) and Jamie McEvoy; her grandchildren, Zachary, Emily, Bella, Wesley, Zeke, Landis, Abby, Parker and Hailey; her great grandchild Ana; and her nieces and nephews, Doug, Rusty, Danny, Linda, Carrie, Scot, Brian, Eileen, Jeff, Andy, Shannon, Brett and Jordan.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church (551 N Rush St, Itasca, IL 60143). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

When her sister Deb needed a bone marrow donation, Colleen was happy to step up and donate.
