She was predeceased by: her husband Peter Noth Carey; her parents, Nora McGrath and Daniel McGrath; and her brothers, D. William McGrath (late Loretta) and Richard McGrath (Charlotte).
She is survived by: her children, Brad (Tracy), Neil (Ann Marie), Charles, Maureen Barry (Michael) and Nancy Carey; her grandchildren, Peter Carey (Claudia), Brinne Knaperek (Nicholas), Daniel, Patrick Barry and Brendan Carey; and her siblings-in-law, Jane Ann Konecny (late Kenneth) and Anthony Carey.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 12th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gibbons Funeral Home (134 S York St, Elmhurst, IL 60126). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, May 13th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Visitation Catholic Church (779 S York St, Elmhurst, IL 60126). A burial was held on Wednesday, May 13th 2026 at the Saint Mary Catholic Cemetery.
