He was predeceased by: his parents, Barbara Wermeling and Roland Wermeling; and his father-in-law Kenneth Arno. He is survived by: his wife Susan M.; his children, Quinn A. Wermeling and Rebeka M. Herrera (Zach); his siblings, Kathleen Chynoweth (Mark), Kevin Wermeling (Cathy), Patricia Wermeling, Barbara Wermeling and Lisa Suhling (Rick); his sisters-in-law, Debbie Austiff (Phil) and Cindy Phelps (late Kevin); and his mother-in-law Virginia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children 2211 N. Oak Park Ave., Chicago, IL 60707.
