We are sad to announce that on September 26, 2020, at the age of 94, Michael Principe (Elmhurst, Illinois), born in Franklin Park, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his spouse Annmarie; his children, Reneé Principe, Michelle Principe and Vivianne Castello; his granddaughter Stephanie; and his siblings, Mary, Fran, Anthony, Florence, Irene, Genevive, Frank and Anna.

He is survived by: his child Meghan Principe (Chris Purdy); his grandsons, Andrew Castello (Alexandria), Matthew Castello (Emily) and Michael Castello (Claire Bourke); his son-in-law John Castello (Leslie); and his siblings-in-law, Germaine Coverick (late George), Janet and Ordained.

Visitation at the Pedersen Ryberg Funeral Home, 435 N. York St., Elmhurst on Thursday, October 1, 2020 from 2:00 to 8:00 p. m. *Due to Covid restrictions, 50 people are allowed in the funeral home at any one time.

In lieu of flowers memorials to the charity of your choice are appreciated.

“My fondest memory of Mike was after mass when he would be in back of the church and you could not get close enough to talk to him because he was surrounded by kids !!! They just loved him!!!
