He was predeceased by: his wife Jeanine; and his brother Patrick. He is survived by: his children, Peter III (LuAnn), Mary Showers (Dale) and Anne Peachey (Bob); his grandchildren, Megan, Peter IV (Monica), Daniel Showers (Lauren), Kate Byrd (Matthew), Robert Peachey (Michelle), James Peachey (Erin) and Colleen Peachey; his great grandchildren, Alec, Shane, Peter V "Finn", Cal, Iyla, Maryn, Della, Henry, Margaret, Logan, Lily, Reese, Fiona and Maura; and his brothers, Michael (Eileen) and William (Teresa).
Visitation was held on Monday, January 26th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, January 27th 2026 from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM at the Gibbons Funeral Home (134 S York St, Elmhurst, IL 60126). A prayer was held on Tuesday, January 27th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 27th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (134 Arthur St, Elmhurst, IL 60126). A burial was held on Tuesday, January 27th 2026 at the Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery (1400 S Wolf Rd, Hillside, IL 60162).
